SVN and maven modules? [message #506749] Sat, 09 January 2010 07:08

I am using eclipse galileo with subclipse and the maven plugin.

I have created a maven parent project and two maven child modules. I would
like to add the parent project and the child modules to my svn repository.

I have tried various approaches but I keep getting a svn error saying that
one of the child modules already exists in the repository location.

I have tried adding the parent project to the repository:

Right-click the parent -> team->Share project ... -> SVN -> use existing
location -> finish

next I choose to commit but deselect the target folders in the child
modules. The modules under the parent folder are now added to the
repository. But the child module projects in eclipse are not. A solution to
this is to proceed as above (team->share project ...) which gives the option
to "Connect Project to Repository".

But is this the correct way to add maven child modules to a svn repository?
