Debugger (3.4.2) not stopping at breakpoints - known issue? [message #504225] Thu, 17 December 2009 18:24 Go to next message

I noticed that when debugging a webapp with Tomcat on Eclipse 3.4.2 GanymedeSR2 the debugger fails to stop at breakpoints more often than not. I never experienced this problem in earlier versions.

Is this a know issue?

If it is a known issue, was it fixed in 3.4.2?

I realize that it might have been fixed on a later version, but I am stuck at 3.4.2 because our company unfortunately uses MKS Integrity 2009 for version control... and it doesn't play well with newer versions of Eclipse.

Thanks

There is a known issue in Sun's 1.6.0_14 VM. If you are using that VM
then simply switch to 1.6.0_17.

1.6.0_16 should be ok, too.

You're right, I said just for completeness of information. :-)

Well, to be even more precise, the Sun JRE versions affected by this
problem are 1.6.0_14 and 1.6.0_15.

Mauro.

Thank you everybody. I am using 1.6.0_14, so that explains it to perfection. I will update to the latest.
