I have a profile with IProfile.PROP_INSTALL_FEATURES=true

I'm installing a feature into this profile using the IPlanner, IEngine, etc. The feature downloaded and installed into my features directory, but instead of getting this:

features/
ca.fake.helloworld.feature_1.0.0.jar

I get a directory containing the features contents like so:

features/
ca.fake.helloworld.feature_1.0.0/
feature.xml
META-INF/
MANIFEST.MF

Is there a way to get P2 to install the feature in its "archived' jar format instead of expanding it to a directory structure?

Thanks,
Phil

A feature is always a directory when it is installed. Eclipse doesn't support running with feature jars (it just won't see them).
