Hello Frndz,

I am new to the M2M concept. Thought the topic is interesting, i am not able to find any documentation, tutorials and know how of QVT.

I request the experts in this topic to provide me information regarding to the aformentioned query and also steps / webminar which shows the way by which a model is transfered to an another model using QVT.

i came across a link : http://modfact.lip6.fr/qvtP.html, but it does not give a detailed step.

Request for help and thanks in advance.

Rahul Chandrashekar.

Hi Rahul,

The QVTO component aims to implement the 'operational' part of the OMG
specification
http://www.omg.org/spec/QVT/1.0/

The presentation paper below can help to get quickly oriented in the QVTO
world,
which is usually hard with using the OMG spec only.
http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/qvto/doc/M2M-QVTO.pdf

Checkout the 'SimpleUML to RDB' example using the wizard at
'New/Examples/Operational QVT Transformation'.

This newsgroup contents might also be a valuable input.

Sorry for not providing more, we are short of resources and really face the
following issue:
"Implement more of purely documented but supported via the newsgroup or
document more about
fewer features".

Regards,
/Radek

Hi Radek,

Thanks for your response, I am just prototyping a small example using QVT, where i convert a simple java code to a C code ; say for example a "Hello World" java program to a C code.

Can you please give me the guidlines of defining a mapping rule for the conversion process.

Thanks in advance.
Rahul Chandrashekar.
