I'd like to use the "File -> New" wizards on my RCP application, but I'd like it to show only MY wizards; the wizards I've contributed through extensions.

I only seem to be able to either (i) not show the "File -> New" button at all; or (ii) show it but get all kinds of wizards: Java, PDE, etc.

How can I strip the "File -> New" dialog from all but MY wizards?

You want to use activities/capabilities to remove unwanted wizards. http://help.eclipse.org/galileo/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse .platform.doc.isv/guide/workbench_advext_activities.htm

There's also a lot of information on the web about getting activities working.
