How to use ComputedValue for content assistance? [message #487181] Tue, 22 September 2009 10:51

Hi,

what I want to do is something like this:
I have three text-fields for values a, b and c where the user can input his
values.
The "formula" is a + b = c

Now I want to use ComputedValues to calculate missing or wrong values.
e.g. user set a = 1, b = 1 - now I want to automatically set c = 2 and I
want to do this for all variants.

Currently I've attached a PropertyChangeListener to my bean and depending on
the changed value I calculate one of the others.

Does anybody knows a better way to do this (e.g. with ComputedValues)?

Thanks

Markus
