I'm trying to implement a "lazy loading" on a TreeViewer populated with
data loaded from a database. I have found an interesting hint:

DeferredTreeContentManager and IDeferredWorkbenchAdapter in the
org.eclipse.ui plugin.

To see how the framework is used, download the examples from the Eclipse

Can someone help me finding this download page or some other ... possibly
effective ... resource on lazy loading?

I guess you need the "Example Plug-ins":

http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.5-20 0906111540/index.php#ExamplePlugins

If you need different Eclipse version, select on from:

http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/

(and search for "example" or "examples").
