Hi!

The PropertyTester for property
"org.eclipse.core.resources.contentTypeId" seems to not support
hierarchical content types, i.e. the test only yields true, if the
content type of the current file is exactly equal to the expected value,
but not if it is a child of the expected content type (i.e. the expected
content type is a base type of the file's content type).

Is this a bug?

I'd open an enhancement request at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform &component=UI

The property tester should have an option to test the inheritance hierarchy, not just equality.
