I want to deprecate an existing document. I'm not replacing the
document, just deprecating. Is this done through the XDS Source
profile, or is there another profile I should be looking at? Also, is
there any example code out there for this?

Thanks,

Frank

Hi Frank,

This is a use case not yet covered by XDS. There is a whitepaper by IHE
coming out that covers some of these life-cycle issues:

You can find the latest draft on the IHE FTP site:

ftp://ftp.ihe.net/IT_Infrastructure/iheitiyr6-2008-2009/Tech nical_Cmte/Whitepaper_Work/Metadata_Versioning/metadata_vers ioning_08.doc

It should be out for public comment shortly -- and feeback from vendors
is highly encouraged.

regards,
Sarah
