Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to best start out developing an editor to a customized (extended) UML model with reusing as
much as possible the work of the UMLTools editors. Is there any documentation on how to approach this?

I have some quite simple extensions to UML, e.g. some custom Parts and custom Connectors. For this model I need a
domain-specific syntax editor.

I already
- created a GMFMapping
- generated an Editor with the "Generate UML2Tools Diagram" command (btw.: what exactly does this do different?)
- then, I copy/pasted some code to e.g. have a working mapping of the Connectors+Ends to a ConnectionFigure.

However, there are more things to adapt yet and I feel like I have to extract a lot of solutions for common UMLTools
problems. So can anyone recommend a more systematic approach?

Thanks

Joel
