Hi,

I'm using the new jetty-based RCP-Help-system since spring 2007. I
followed all those threads about 404 errors because I had them too.

After all I got it to work.
But now it seems to be broken again - without manipulating any help
based ressource.

I get the following error in the runtime workbench as as well as in the
exported product:

HTTP ERROR: 404
ProxyServlet: /help/index.jsp
RequestURI=/help/index.jsp

Powered by Jetty://

This happens when opening the external help-browser (Help Contents).
When I use the helpview I can see my contributed tocs but I get the 404
when I try to follow a link from there.

My error log always stays clean.

What makes me wonder is, that the IDE-help works and my product help
does not.

I found a post which relates to the old tomcat and apache.commons.logging:

which says that multiple commons.logging-jars break tomcat.
This could be related to me, because the only thing I changed was an
implementation with apache-fop into my application which comes with
commons.logging too.

I compared my exported plugins with them from the svn when help worked -
without any difference.
Anyway here are my plugins:

for some reason the plugin

org.eclipse.help.webapp

was missing.

I wonder why there is no explicit dependency on that for RCP help.
Maybe bug 202160
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=202160
will bring a solution.
