Hi,

I am trying to get single eclipse for Jazz 0.6Beta2 + EPF 1.2.0.2

I have done:
1/ Added all required plugins and versions in Jazz eclipse (GEF, GMF, EMF
SDK, etc.) as extensions
2/ Created EPF 1.2.0.2 Extension (removed all Eclipse, GEF, etc. plugins,
epf plugins just left)
3/ Install manager looks OK without any errors in any extension

When I started Jazz eclipse I saw EPF perspectives added (Authorization,
Browsing); however, if I open library I get following error for every node
(plugin):
!ENTRY org.eclipse.jface 4 2 2008-01-30 20:19:42.564

Hello Roman.
I forward this to Shilpa to look at the exception as well, but here is how I
did the shell sharing integration with RMC 7.2 ifix2 (which is based on EPFC
1202) without any issues:

- unzip the jazz beta2a client distribution in <install_dir>
- in the <install_dir>\jazz\client\eclipse directory create a directory
called "epfc" with a sub-directory "eclipse"
- drag and drop the "features" and "plugins" directories from the EPFC
distribution into <install_dir>\jazz\client\eclipse\epfc\eclipse\
- go to <install_dir>\jazz\client\eclipse\links and create a file called
epfc.lnk that contains this one line "path=epfc"

Start the "<install_dir>\jazz\client\TeamConcert.exe", create a fresh new
workspace and send us the <workspace>\.metadata\.log file

If you find in there just a few bundle warnings and handler conflicts then
everything should work as it does for our team who also uses this
integration for our content development work.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

thanks, your way works for me as well; I don't see why the previous one
failed (my intent was to avoid the duplicity)... Anyway, I'm attaching the
..log file.

Regards,

Roman

Did you get complete set of "emf" plugins ? Jazz didn't have complete set
of "emf" plugins which EPF composer needed at least in earlier version of
jazz. That may be cause of the exception. I haven't checked latest jazz
version, so can't say for sure.

You are right, Jazz doesn't include all of them (1.0Beta2) - and so I added
EMF SDK 2.3.0 (I followed

Hello Roman.
I forward this to Shilpa to look at the exception as well, but here is how I
did the shell sharing integration with RMC 7.2 ifix2 (which is based on EPFC
1202) without any issues:

- unzip the jazz beta2a client distribution in <install_dir>
- in the <install_dir>\jazz\client\eclipse directory create a directory
called "epfc" with a sub-directory "eclipse"
- drag and drop the "features" and "plugins" directories from the EPFC
distribution into <install_dir>\jazz\client\eclipse\epfc\eclipse\
- go to <install_dir>\jazz\client\eclipse\links and create a file called
epfc.lnk that contains this one line "path=epfc"

Start the "<install_dir>\jazz\client\TeamConcert.exe", create a fresh new
workspace and send us the <workspace>\.metadata\.log file

If you find in there just a few bundle warnings and handler conflicts then
everything should work as it does for our team who also uses this
integration for our content development work.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

thanks, your way works for me as well; I don't see why the previous one
failed (my intent was to avoid the duplicity)... Anyway, I'm attaching the
..log file.

Regards,

Roman
