Using setAdvanced and setAlpha with the graphics context within eclipse
works as expected. After exporting to jar the getAdvanced-call returns
false and no alpha values are used.
What could be the reason?

Assuming that you are talking about Windows, swt-gdip-win32-????.dll and
gdiplus.dll will need to be somewhere on the library path.
