Are proposals being considered for the date picker of 3.2 (if it makes it),
or has the design been fixed?

The reason I ask is that all date pickers I've seen have months aligned
horizontally. As you go from month to month you scroll left and right.

Why not veritically? As you arrow up/down you move up/down week by week.
Page up/down moves up/down by a month, but keeps the same day of the week.
If the months are vertically aligned the months fit together perfectly.

If proposals for a date picker are still being considered, I will put my
ideas forward and help where I can. If a date picker is already being
developed, I may go with the flow rather than continuning to develop a
vertical date picker.

I've got a datepicker that does this and the vertical scroll really does
solve allot of problems.
I should have some time soon to get the source for it (and the rest of
the application) online and released under the EPL. Let me know if
you're interested and I'll keep you posted.

If a date / time picker makes it into SWT 3.2, it will probably be natively peered. In which case, it would follow the platform specification which AFAIK is horizontal scrolling of months on every platform.
