Automated GUI Recorder [message #43531] Tue, 29 November 2005 15:03 Go to next message

Hi,

I created an AGR test suite that creates a new Java project according to
the instructions in the AGR introduction document. If I use the "Quick
Run" button to run the test case, the playback runs fine. However, if I
run the test case in the standard mode (according to the instructions in
2.2.3), the new project dialog opens and closes repeatedly, and a new Java
project is not created.
So I manually close the Eclipse instance in which the test case is
running, and I get an execution file with many "invocation" records
(though I did not use any loops), and also lots of "start" and "stop"
events under the first "invocation" record.
I'm using the stable build 4.1.0-200509090100. This problem also happens
with other test cases I've recorded such as the "Log import" example in
the introduction document - the dialog keeps opening and closing. (And
also, with "Quick Run" it works fine.)

Any idea what may be wrong?

Thanks,
Shlomy

Hi Shlomy,

In the stable build that you have noted below, the Auto GUI Runner was build
as a JAR file as opposed to a raw plugin. There are some components of the
tool that require access to the files that are shipped with the plugin.
This has been fixed in all successive builds after 4.1.0-200509090100.
Please download TPTP-4.1.0-200511230100B to see if your problem gets
resolved. Feel free to contact me via email if you still experience the
problem.
