UNCONFIRMED bug reports? [message #433715] Thu, 13 April 2006 12:49 Go to next message

Hi,
I opened a new bugzilla report yesterday (136379) and for some reason it
went to an UNCONFIRMED state instead of the NEW state. Reading what this
state means, it sounds like a reasonable state. But, all of my other bug
reports that I have opened went immediately to the NEW state. And, I have
noticed other bug reports being opened since mine that are also in the NEW
state. Did I do something "wrong" when opening this bug report that
caused this UNCONFIRMED state? I'd like to get it to the NEW state, if
possible. Actually, I would like to get it to a "resolved" state, but
I'll let the Dali team determine their work priorities... :-)

Thanks!
Kevin

Kevin,
Not sure how a bug winds up in UNCONFIRMED status, but I changed it to NEW.

Well, someone must have enabled the UNCONFIRMED state in Bugzilla. If
you don't actually use it it should be turned off.

Indeed, the UNCONFIRMED options were enabled for the Dali product. I've
disabled them, as they are not default behaviours.

When creating a new bug, the initial state will be NEW, and no drop-down
will be available from now on.
