New Bugzilla [message #42857] Fri, 01 December 2006 01:08 Go to next message

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I don't see a
newsgroup about eclipse.org (and I noticed our webmaster has read this
newsgroup).

I really like the new "Report a Bug Wizard" we have now. I think this
type of structure will help new users submit bugs, and *hopefully* good
bug reports. However, this wizard can be annoying if you know where you
want your bug to go. Do you think we can have an advanced submit a bug
link that uses the old way?

cheers,
ian

Ian,

Because you're a committer, the wizard should recognize that and bypass
the entire process. But you didn't have committer privileges on
Bugzilla, so I just granted them to you.

For non-committers who want to bypass the wizard, they can simply link
to the standard Bugzilla "Enter Bug" link:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi. But shhhh... don't tell
that to newcomers ;)

How neat is that?

Denis
