Hi,

I'm trying to run through the CDO examples on the eclipsipedia. Do I
still need to checkout the CDO Server sources from CVS
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/Setting_up_a_CDO_Server) to get a server running
or is their another way?

Thanks

Hi, JF,

I don't have an answer for you, but Eike or Simon will in the EMF
newsgroup, which I have copied in this reply.

Cheers,

Christian

Thank you Christian, I do not check modeling newsgroup!

Hi JF,

To setup a CDOServer from scratch you need :

1- Get the source code (see see
http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDO_Source_Installation)
or
Download the 1.0.2 version or 2.0.0 M3 version!
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/downloads/index.php?proj ect=cdo&showAll=0&showMax=5

2-Configure your CDOServer
If you are using 1.0.x, I think
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Setting_up_a_CDO_Server will work fine!

For 2.X, you need to slightly adjust the cdo-server.xml. Here an example:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.emf/org .eclipse.emf.cdo/features/org.eclipse.emf.cdo.server.product /rootfiles/configuration/cdo-server.xml?root=Modeling_Projec t&content-type=text%2Fplain&view=co
(Noticed the <jdbcDelegate type="statement" />)

Let us know if you have any others questions.

Simon
