Hello all,

I have a question concerning EMF Editors. Is it possible to launch an Editor
based on the dynamic EMF model. My use case is following - I need to build
an Editor for model which is now known at compile time, e.g. Editor for
arbitrary XML Schema. I was thinking about parsing XML Schema using EMF
provided ECORE for it and transform it to dynamic model, after it just use
dynamic model to show to the user.
Is it possible? If yes how can I instantiate such an Editor?

Thank you,
Renat Zubairov

Hi, Renat,

This is specifically on EMF question, so I copy the reply to the EMF
newsgroup.

You can "Open With... -> Example Reflective Ecore Editor" to open and
XML/XMI resource for which an Ecore package is either registered or
available dynamically, referenced via the xsi:schemaLocation.

This editor provides complete editing capability driven solely by the
Ecore metadata.

Christian
