Is it possible to avoid adding EMF/JET plugins to the target eclipse
platform?

Context info:

My project is about developing an RCP application and I am using
M2T/JET2 transform only as a development-time 'IDE' tool (to generate
java&properties from xml).
I also use an eclipse platform target (3.3.1.1) for plugin development
that differs from my eclipse SDK used as IDE for development (3.4M3).
Currently I run the jet transform defined in a plugin project in my
workspace that required me to add the emf-m2t plugins to both the IDE
plugins and the TARGET platform plugins.
I have then to refine the launch configurations for my RCP not to
include the jet/m2t plugins.

Edoardo:

No. At this point, it is not possible. Currently, JET has dependencies on a
number of platform. In the current release (Ganymede), I am planning to
refactor JET so that it has a core runtime that has fewer dependencies. I
would be delighted to work with you to ensure that I get it right.
