Hi

I don't know if this is the right newsgroup to post this but I don't know
where else I can write it.

If you go to the Outline view and start a single test method a new run
configuration is created for that test method. After some time I get
hundreds of run configurations that way. Is it possible to change that
behaviour?

Alex,

I looked in the Run/Debug preferences and I don't think there is a way
for them to be automatically deleted.

Hmm that's really bad.

There should be a way to make a run type wide configuration. So for
example you can specify VM arguments in the category Junit Plugin Test
once in a global configuration and then every configuration will have
these. Then there should be the possibility to say that run configurations
generated over Run As -> Junit Plugin Test will be deleted automatically
after the run. Also in the outline view there should be a button that can
be clicked if a method is selected.

Alex,

Oh well, such things don't just appear out of thin air without some
significant effort by someone... Personally I just keep a run
configuration for my whole suite, save it in the project, and store it
in CVS. This way it's configured and ready to go any time I check out
the project with the tests...

Very useful idea, those run-configuration stored in your version management system. Thanks.

I presume even variables can be used to customize the run-configuration to the target developer machine?
