I am not sure how many of you guys use the new recently released version
of STEM, but anyway, here it goes. I am not able to create my own
scenarios. Here is what i was doing (steps):
New -> STEM project -> entered the name
After this, I am not able to add new scenarios, models, etc. It would not
recognize the project I already created -- "Invalid name" -- although the
name is exactly the same as the project name I created. Am I doind
something wrong?

Armen,
I just went through these steps and it worked for me :-) The wizards
display an error message of "Invalid Name" if the name of the things you're
trying to create is blank or otherwise invalid. The name of the project is
selectable from the combo box listing all projects. What happens when you
enter a name for a graph or model?

Armen,
there is a bug open for the creating project tutorial
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=188398
I'm having trouble visualizing exactly what the problem is. Is it that when
you use the new project wizard it rejects the name you supply as invalid?
Or is it when you use a different wizard, say to create a model, it doesn't
allow you to select an existing project?
Either is a bug, but not one I'm seeing on Windows, perhaps there's some
Linux issue. Could you enter a bug report please and describe how to
reproduce it.
In the later case, however, note that a message of "Invalid Name" refers to
the name of the new thing being created not the project. Only valid
projects appear in the combo box and their names would not be reported as
invalid.

Armen,
I haven't seen that problem yet. What was the name you used? I'm thinking
that it might have to do with spaces in the name.
Please open a bug report.

I am still getting the error "Invalid name" for the Project even though
that project is shown in STEM project explorer... Is it possible to post a
step-by-step guide to creating a new project?

I see now where my mistake was. I thought that "invalid name" referred to
the project name, but it simply meant that I have not yet specified a name
fo rthe scenario/model/etc... I think the screen could be more intiutive:
i.e. instead of saying "invalied name" it could say "enter a valid name".
