I installed Glassfish v3 and the server adapter into Eclipse 3.5. I
created a Glassfish v3 server instance using the default settings.
When I then try starting the Glassfish v3 server from within Eclipse it
fails with the following message...
"It appears that the domain [domain1] or some other process in [port:
4848] is already running, stop it first.
Command start-domain failed."
However, if I start the server from the Glassfish installation directory
via...
\glassfishv3\glassfish\bin\startserv.bat
....then it starts fine and Eclipse picks up the fact that it is running
and sets the status in the servers view to [Started, Synchronized].
I can then stop the server from within Eclipse, without a problem.
Any thoughts as to why the server startup from Eclipse doesn't work?
Many thanks
Chris
