I recently installed the "Eclipse XML Editors and Tools" from the Europa
distribution. Afterwards, I noticed that validation was turned on by
default, and a bunch of XML files in my workspace failed to pass. This
generated dozens of error markers on the files themselves and in the
problems view.
I turned off Validation, in hopes that the errors would go away, but
they did not. I can use a Filter to ignore the markers in the Problems
view, but there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the error markers
permanently. This is especially irritating because I can't quickly look
at all my Projects and determine which have (real) errors.
I uninstalled the plugins, but the markers remained.
Is there anything I can do, short of creating a new workspace?
