I'm sorry that this is not a more informed post, but I don't have much to go on here. I have used different versions of Eclipse through the years and every one of them has given me the "Not Responding" error right after opening Eclipse up. This is on several different PC's and operating systems. It has caused me to go to NetBeans and IntelliJ, and I don't want to use those other two. Besides, I have some new Android books and video tutorials and they all use Eclipse.
So, with different operating systems, PC's, and versions of Eclipse, there is no common ground with which to pinpoint. I don't know what to do about this and it is darn annoying. It does not happen all the time, but it does happen at least once daily.
Here are my PC specs now:
Dell Studio XPS-9100
Intel i7 960 @ 3.20ghz, 4 cores
ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
RAM 8gigs
Windows 7 64 bit
Eclipse Juno 4.2.1 64 bit
Android DDMS, dev tools, Google Web Toolkit, GWT Designer plugins.
