Until Eclipse 3.7, if I wanted to drag a view from a stack to another, I had to click on the view tab, drag it to the center of the desired stack and drop it. Before dropping it, a gray stippled line would be shown, indicating the view's new size and position.
Now, on Eclipse 4.2, when I drag a view to the center of another stack, two green rectangles are shown and the view is not placed inside the stack. Instead, a new one is created, dividing the area either horizontally or vertically. To group the view with the others on the target stack, I have to move the mouse up to the position where the tab should appear.
Is there a way to get the old behaviour back?
