Folks,

I need to develop a Web service application that would be served by Jetty web server. I am new to Java world and would appreciate your help in finding proper steps for setting up the development environment.

I am running OpenSolaris on my box. I have downloaded and installed jdk and eclipse via OpenSolaris package repository. I have also downloaded the binaries for Jetty and installed them under /usr/jetty/jetty-distribution-7.1.5.xxx

When I bring up Eclipse, I don't see any option to create a Web Service application.

Unfortunately, there is not enough documentation on Eclipse+Jetty+Web Services. I would appreciate it if someone can guide me in the right direction:

1. Do I need a plugin to help create Web services under Eclipse?
2. How to I debug my application under Jetty?

Any other pointer would also be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter
