Hello,

I am using Eclipse 4.2 for RCP/RAP with Java 1.7 from Oracle on Windows 7.

It seems that some of the e4 ui plugins depend upon org.w3.dom.css; version=2.0.0.

Where can I find this?

How do I tell Eclipse to "use it"?

Hi Tom,

I get the same error when I use the wizard
File, New, Other, Eclipse 4, Eclipse 4 Application Project

then launch the product

Your app will not launch, right? I deduce this from the runtime exception in your output.

To fix this, go to the run configuration for your app. Right click the app in package explorer and select Run as... > Run configurations...
(Alternatively you can select Run > Run configurations from the main menu.)

In the run configurations window select the tab "Plug-ins". The drop down list "Launch with" should (probably) be set to "plug-ins selected below only". Below this dropdown is a list of plug-ins with checkboxes. To the right of this list is a set of buttons. One of these buttons is "Add required Plug-ins". Click this button and then click "Apply" at the bottom of the run configurations window. Now close the run configurations window and try launching your app again.

See also the Stack Overflow post: questions/13575695/eclipse-rcp-no-application-id-has-been-found/15051393#15051393. (Sorry, cannot provide a link, because I'm still new in this forum.)

Note that this will just fix the "no id found" exception. It will not fix the "missing constraint" problem mentioned earlier. I'm still working on that one myself.
