Rui,
migrating to E4 would certainly be a mayor change to do. I already spent
some basic thoughts on that topic, but it is still being far from an
intention or even a plan.
Since Graphiti is a framework we need to have an eye on existing clients, so
we might need to offer an adaption for both environments. That would mean
splitting up Graphiti into a base framework and an integration layer for
Eclipse 3.x and E4. This would be a mayor undertaking and I'm not don't
think even this could be done in a compatible way, and I'm not talking about
minor API changes...
What would you expectations be towards a graphical framework? Should it
support both worlds? How about compatibility?
There is a GEFGWT project whose goal is to help port GEF project to web browser. It seems that this GEFGWT is currently based on GEF3. I have no idea how useful this GEFGWT is right now but it does sound interesting and exciting. Do you include this kind of feature (portability to web browser) in Graphiti future release?

Johnny,
good question. At least currently we have no concrete plans to port Graphiti
to Web Browsers. We did some investigations about 2 years ago and found that
would cause too much effort compared to the benefit. This especially with
the background that there was hardly any request for such a feature.
During these investigations we also looked at GWT, since that would provide
a rather easy way to migrate. But still quite a lot of effort. GEFGWT would
give that surely a kick, but I'm still not sure how much interest there is
in the community.
