Dear Eclipse Foundation,|
I would very much love to donate some back, as I have been using Eclipse for a few years now, and I enjoy the IDE and plugins very much.
What is your bitcoin wallet? I have only found the 'PayPay' button as a method to donate...

Please note, UOMo Business on top of JSR 354, Money and Currency API for
Java (http://javamoney.java.net) plans to add Bitcoin support.
As many of you may have face, I'm extremely unhappy with PayPal and its
restrictive, customer-hostile policies and behavior. E.g. you can barely
maintain your account if you travel and work abroad for different customers
around the world like I do, unless you may be lucky and roaming by your
account-bearing country's phone operators may still work and you have
sufficient credit there to have PayPal call you to certify the account, etc.
Lot's of bullshit and a pain especially to smaller entities, this kind of
wallet was actually intended to help in the first place (big businesses have
multiple accounts or Credit Cards with no limit;-D)
UOMo Busiess made some significant contributions (from my side) into JSR
354, but for administrative reasons, the JCP EC currently has to vote over
that JSR (including Eclipse Foundation btw.;-) so bare with us, till that is
clarified. In the unlikely event, the JSR was delayed or stopped, UOMo
Business still would add Bitcoin support on top of Unit-API and ICU4J, but
if the standard is supported by the Java Community Process, we'd of course
adopt it, like e.g. EclipseLink does for JPA or other projects like E4,
Sisu, etc. use JSRs like 330 (@Inject)
I plan a Social Currency Panel at next month's Socia Media Week in
Copenhagen, also with Bitcoin and other "Social" Currencies as topic. To
raise awareness and invite local players like BitCoin Nordic (based in CPH)
to discuss the present and future options for using Bitcoins. If that panel
is streamed like other sessions of SMW, I guess I'll point to it from UOMo
Documentation: http://www.eclipse.org/uomo/documentation.php Check it out
after SMW for any updates.

I too, would donate if there was a bitcoin option. I use the Eclipse IDE all
day long and want to give back to the project. The bitcoin option makes it
possible to seamlessly donate an arbitrary fractional qty, completely
encumbering the donor from any worries. Also there would not be any fees
paid to PayPal associated with the donation, so the foundation could keep
more of the donation.
I had a PayPal account for 12+ years but after a single nasty incident on
eBay involving PayPal's failure to protect me as a seller against a
fraudster in a large transaction, I have given up on PayPal altogether.
