Hi,

I tried to open the ppt format report with ppt viewer 2007 but a "this is not a valid ppt file" error occurred. I attached the report in attachment. Please advise.

The file opens for me, in PowerPoint 2007. How are you creating the PPT? With the engine or exporting from the viewer?

Hi,

Can you please try to do it with ppt 2007 viewer? I tried it with ppt 2003 and could open it without problem. I am suspecting if it dosn't work with pure viewer.

I couldn't open it straight to 2007 viewer either. To get around the issue, I opened it with PowerPoint 2007 and saved it as a 2007 PowerPoint presentation and it opened in the viewer just fine. You might try the Tribix powerpoint emitter:

Is this something which will be fixed? The viewer should be able to open the file without problem.

What is your BIRT version? If using the latest version, log a bug for this in the bugzilla. If using an older version, try downloading the newest version and seeing if it works any different for you.
