Is there a way to check for available updates and apply them without having to launch eclipse and go through the UI?

To update a component from one version to the next you will need to specify both -installIU <iuIdToAdd> and -uninstall <iuToRemove>

I was looking for something similar to the "check for updates" feature; which finds all available updates and applies them.

In case anybody cares I was able to write a plug-in (containing headless application ) using
p2 core API's to accomplish this.
