Hi,

I have the following setup for EGit:

* one single git repository, tracked in the git repositories view
* multiple Maven projects contained in the git repository
* periodically new projects are added in the git repository and I pull from the remote
* I import the new projects as Maven projects

Given that I have enabled 'Auto share projects located in a git repository' I would expect these projects to be shared after being imported, but that's not the case.

Is this a configuration error or a bug I should report?

I'd say this should work. Which EGit version are you using ?

I just successfully tried the following example using EGit 2.1 release:
- clone the tycho repository [1] from repositories view
- ensure that auto-sharing projects is switched on
- Import... > Maven > Existing Maven Projects
- browse to the directory tycho repository was cloned to and select tycho-maven-plugin
- click "Finish"
-> project is imported and sharing worked

[1] git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/tycho/org.eclipse.tycho.git

Thanks for taking the time to test this scenario.

I've walked through your steps and it seems to work . Perhaps the difference is that I've updated to EGit 2.1 , since I projects are auto-shared for my own repository as well now.
