Hi all,

I'm looking for a user-friendly editor that would allow me to create InstanceSpecification elements from an EMF model.

Up to now, I could see several editors but they are really difficult to use ! I don't want the user to create Slots, identify "definingFeature" and so on ...

I really need the kind of editor that would be used by simple user who has no knowledge of metamodeling and so on ...

Please note also InstanceSpecification elements would be made persistent using CDO.

Any hint is welcome !

Hi,
did you look at the EMF client Platform? eclipse.org/emfclient
The next major version supports CDO from scratch.

Please note that this built-in (pluggable) CDO support in ECP is currently not based on CDO's traditional online mode
but on the newer offline checkout mode (CDOWorkspace). The design of ECP allows for additional provider implementations,
though, that could support things like online connections, too.
