I'm using linux x64 version and tabs switching is painfully slow. So I've took some steps to investigate and found A LOT of errors occur when I switch from one PDT tab to another:
org.eclipse.core.commands.common.NotDefinedException: Cannot get the parent identifier from an undefined context. org.eclipse.wst.server.ui.internal.webbrowser.actionSet
Yeah, I don't think this is a PDT issue. I think this has to do with tabs switching on the 64 bit platform.
It's just painfully slow. I'm just a user here, without enough knowledge of the internals to fix it myself. I'm just doing my best to report the issue so it can be addressed.
If there's more I could do to gather the necessary information please let me know.
No, it appears to be just as slow an any other perspective.
I can tell you this... Indigo flies. Juno is slow as molasses.
I tried Juno win 32... slow.
I tried Juno win 64... slow.
I went back to Indigo and it works wonderfully.
I don't know what else to test, but the performance of the Juno UI is terribly slow on my Windows 7 machine. The most obvious symptom is the near 5 - 6 second wait switching between tabs.
My machine is a fairly new install, no viruses, no misconfigurations, latest version of Java SDKs. So what else is there to test?

Well it's weird because the PHP perspective is the reason the UI is slow on like 10 machines I've tested it. Under the Resource perspective, for instance, it's almost as fast as Indigo was.
Did you restart Eclipse *after* switching to the other perspective? (Try the Resource one)
