I have the same problem 
i cannot even select something in the lust because it seems like its empty,
filters are all off and stuff.
i just downloaded the last standalone eclipse LDT thingy, and wanted to make the settings.
But i cannot do nothing there, all buttons are grey and nothing in the list to modify, duplicate or create or whatever.
How to fix this? =)
im not allowed to use links, so i cannot post a link to the screenshot,

Edit: for no i just use it as a debug build...

By looking at the screenshot, it seems that you tried to create a Run configuration, not an External Tools configuration! 
External launch configuration are accessible this way:
