birt.war does not run properly [message #723243]

I am trying to run the birt.war of the Eclipse BIRT project in virgo using the latest tomcat release.
It installs and I can access the start page of the war: http://localhost:8080/birt/

When trying to acces the test report ("View Example" at the bottom), the browser will wait indefinitely for a result...

THe same war works when deploying to tomcat 5.5., for example.

Hi,

I just tried birt.war (3.7) on Virgo 3.0.0.Release and it is working as expected.
I changed property "WABHeaders" to value "defaulted" (<Virgo-Home>/repository/ext/org.eclipse.virgo.web.properties).
I put the bird.war in pickup. After that when I requested it and clicked on "View Example" I received a correct response (on IE8 and Firefox6)

Can you give us more details about steps that you did in order to reproduce the problem.

I have already set the WABHeaders to "defaulted".
When I press "View Example", I get a response, but the browser is still waiting for more content to be shown.
Did you compare the output with that of a pure tomcat deployment?

here is what I can see on pure Tomcat 7.0.12 and on Virgo 3.0.0

I just re-installed tomcat virgo release (unzipping it into c:\virgo), changed the WABHeaders, copied the birt.war (3.7) into the pickup folder, and this is the only thing I can see when running the birt example:

index.php/fa/3904/0/

Note: the browser keeps waiting for the document to be read fully but does not finish...

I tried with Chrome 13.0 and IE 6.0...

I am not sure how to debug this...

Ok I'm receiving a correct response also on Chrome 13 (see attachment)
I would recommend you to use some HTTP Watch program to trace the http request (see my previous post's attachments where I'm using such program)

Just tried to run the virgo server standalone using the command line (startup.bat)... and it works.
When running the server by the virgo tooling ("Servers" view), the problem will persist.
So, it seems to be a problem of the virgo tooling?
