A new scenario for multi-population disease spreading between anopheles mosquitoes and humans on a square lattice is now available on STEM for downloading.

following me on Twitter !

(not sure, if he'd be equally interested in the Zombies, but after the Lego
Robot competition at EclipseCon, I see absolutely no reason why this would
put STEM or Eclipse in a dodgy light ;-)

Hi Werner and all,

we need to be very careful advertising this model. The real purpose was to demonstrate how to organize a scenario using multiple populations in STEM. The demo has very little to do with actual modeling of Malaria, we are still working on STEM models for zoonotic diseases.

Following Arik's response to the Zombie thread, the attention is something
that can't hurt and has drawn others to STEM before.

Many of those Malaria programs aim at timespans as far away as 2015, 2020 or
beyond. So we may keep models that have the potential to be used in this
areas under wraps until then, or stick with "fictionous diseases" for public
announcements. Or we can say what's there now, not claiming it's a full
model of it yet and see, if other people wish to adapt or extend it.
