Hi,
I have tried various combination of eclipse versions but could not figure out the right combination to successfully execute the supposed to be simple tutorial. Using fresh eclipse 3.5 modeling package as a base, added Acceleo 0.9.0 M2, and EEF (stable), no components was created out of EEF architecture generation. [Actually this combination allowed me to proceed to EEF architecture generation point.]
I would appreciate if someone could provide the really workable/proven combination of various elements. Is there any issues/restrictions on OS, hardware, and JRE version? It is Vista PC in my case.

This might work with that combination. do you have any errors in the
error log view ? do the eef models ( components and eefgen ) validates ?

You could try also the last helios modeling package ( M6 ) that must work.
BTW we test EEF with eclipse 3.5.2/Acceleo0.9.0M2, too.

1) Yes, eef models (components and eefgen) validate.
2) In this case, the followings errors are found in the log (I am including part of it)
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
at org.eclipse.jface.operation.ModalContext.run(ModalContext.ja va:421)
at org.eclipse.jface.dialogs.ProgressMonitorDialog.run(Progress MonitorDialog.java:507)

Thank you for this info. I think I tried Helios first, then moved down to 3.5.1//Acceleo0.9.0M2, then now trying 3.5.0/Acceleo0.9.0M2. I think I tried 3.5.2 before but will do that again (maybe Helios as well).

Tried Helios modeling package M6. EEF installation failed with the following message.

Yes, you are using the latest EEF M6 build that requires Acceleo 3.0.0M6
that is shipped with helios release.
so in order to stay with Eclipse 3.5.X, use the EEF M5 build.

Yes, you are using the latest EEF M6 build that requires Acceleo 3.0.0M6
that is shipped with helios release.
so in order to stay with Eclipse 3.5.X, use the EEF M5 build.

The following combinations worked under my environment.
1) 3.5.2
- eclipse modeling package 3.5.2
- Acceleo0.9.0M2
- EEF 0.8.0M5
2) Helios
- eclipse modeling package helios
- Acceleo3.0.0M6
- EEF 0.8.0M6
So, valid combination of release version numbers is important info.
