Hi,

I am using Scout for a while and have generated a scout project using Eclipse Scout, thanks for the tutorials which helped me a lot. Now I want to build war file using Ant with an automated script for both rap-client and server. Is there any automated script such that i can prepare war files for both rap and server eg. using Ant. Please give me some pointers for this.

Hi,
As you may have read [1] we have changed our builds from Ant to Maven. So just to be sure. Do you need to build with Ant or could it be Maven?
I don't think there are any prepared Ant Script which will build a war based on Eclipse/Equinox. But I could certainly help you get started with Maven.

Hi,

Maven will work just as good... all I need is a automated way of producing the war files without using eclipse interactively... and further to deploy to tomcat.

I am conversant with ant, hence that choice. Could you please share some conceptual steps and sample *.pom files for building the two wars (rap-client and server).

Have a look at the Eclipse Scout Maven Tutorial [1] and my sample Eclipse Scout Application building with Maven and Tycho [2].
