What is the branch ve100m5 for? Is it for integration of ve1.00 with Eclipse
3 M5?

Yes, rather than Distabelize the head stream and inhibit other 1.0.0
effort, the M5 stream will be used for a short time to do the M5 port
and merged back later on. The M5 stream is just to get VE to come up;
not taking advantage of M5 features.
