Early people rated this book very high score. But the latest review (in 2012) gave a low score. Because the information in the book is outdated. How much of this book is still applicable?

Could anybody recommend a good book on the current version of eclipse? (Not the ones showing a lot of screencast, I need the ones that introduce the concepts clearly so that I can look up details online.)

You're much better off looking for more current tutorials. Some good
examples can be found at vogella.de. They are kept pretty up-to-date by
their author. I purchased two books on Eclipse years ago and they were
way out of date already then.
