Hi All,

I am very much new to these memory analyzing stuff. And I will be starting it with MAT.
This question might sound dumb for all you experts:)

If I have dump file of java web application running on Linux system, can I analyze it on MAT installed on windows platform?

Your help will be truly appreciated.

The binary format should be platform independent. I generate my dumps from a JVM running on Linux (HPROF). I then use MAT on my XP workstation without problem.
