The Development Tools Administrator role has three major components: software development support, collaboration and interaction with developers and system administrators/DBA's, and development tool domain knowledge for enterprise class multi-tier Web-based application development projects (leaning toward JAVA and open source experiences). Candidates must display excellence in all areas.
a) Strong background in software development tools including source control (Subversion/svn), Ant, Cruise Control, TRAC, and Eclipse. Background and experience supporting software testing automation and software quality assurance teams
b) Demonstrated experience configuring and managing code repositories, build scripts, issue tracking systems with an emphasis on automation and standardization.
c) Strong *nix system administration skills.
d) Understanding of IT development lifecycle processes including development and testing.
e) Superb written and oral communications skills, including the ability to effectively interact with software developers and system administrators.
f) Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organizations on a continuous basis.
