Is there any way to share Advisor Nodes between CQuery's [message #793009]

The topic says it all. We have a number of different products that share various components. The shared components live in various (Git) respoitories. Each product has a CQuery to materialize it, and each of those CQuery's has a number of advisor nodes that say what branch of various repositories to look in.

There are some parts in common between the Advisor nodes in differnt CQuerys. We'd like to have some common Advisor Nodes somewhere that we can share / inherit /re-use.

Looking at the BuckyBook, I don't think this is possible, even with clever use of properties, but does anyone have any suggestions?

I know people have done clever things by having a servlet compose cquery
documents (as well as other buckminster artifacts).

This way you get central management, and people only have to have
Eclipse + Buckminster installed, then know the URL to the cquery (that
gets produced dynamically).

hi,

we have a "Tagging Tool", a proprietary frontend for SVN. The TaggingTool modifies CQueries when branching or tagging; it replaces SelectionCriteria in AdvisorNodes and fixes the RMAP-Urls and other things. It prevents a mixing of Trunk,Branches and Tags.
