Can the WorkbenchPreferenceNode priority be set via the extension point [message #642833]

I want to change the order of preference pages in the preference dialog tree
of my RCP application.

The ContributionComparator class used by the dialog sorts by
WorkbenchPreferenceNode.priority and then by label, is it possible to set
the priority. Is it possible to set the priority for pages created via the
extension point, or do need to create my own ContributionComparator to do
the sorting?

I suggest you simply read the extension point documentation.
