I wonder why the FormText widget does not provide a
getter of the text. I provides a setter and several
getters that involve *selected* texts. The current
lack of this IMO basic property makes it hard to provide
a reasonable databinding for it, for example (I defined
one, but it puts the burden of possible out-of-sync-
situations onto the user, which is a pity).

Is there any compelling reason for this lack? I would
like to check this first, before attempting to open
a bug for this.
