Server never leaves "Starting..." state [message #231818]

I am running Eclipse 3.4 with the WTP.

I have a JBoss 4.2.3 server configured in the Server view.

When I click to debug my web application in the server view, the server
and my web application are started, and I can access them w/ a browser.
However in the Server view, the message "Starting..." never goes away. The
result is that when I modify my application and save the changes, the
changes don't get synchronized with the server, unless I stop and restart
the server.

My setup worked fine until I installed JProfiler. Any idea what will cause
the Server view to not recognize that the server and the web app have
started?
