Editor unable to "restore" anymore [message #1016056]

I am running Juno. I just performed an update and after my editor is going crazy. In the "java" perspective it things the editor should only be minimized all the time and the only way to see open files is to click the little "shaded area" button. Clicking the "restore" button does nothing. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

In the worst case, resetting the perspective (from the context menu on
the perspective's tab in the upper right next to the toolbar) will
likely fix the problem.
