I tried to use EModelService to find the Part's Toolbar.

I failed, because searching for Tolbars or toolbar Elements returns null.



  • Why won't EModelService find the Toolbar Elements?
  • Somehwhere I heared about the difference between Model Elements and Model Attributes.
  • What is this difference?
  • How would i find the model Attributes?

This is the same problem as discussed in other threads. The
EModelService does NOT search through the complete model but only
through the ElementContainer#children hierarchy.

This is a very annoying bug and an easy feature to implement IMHO so a
good start for a contribution.

Things to do:
a) update the find-method explaining what elements are searched
b) adding an extra method which traverses the complete model
